Quebec City Reading Council envisions a community where everyone has the literacy skills they need to live a fully engaged life.
WE ARE RECRUITING:
On-going recruitment for tutors for adult learners
Our tutoring program assists adult learners and continuing education students from the Quebec City community. We primarily offer tutoring for three essential life skills: reading and writing, math, and computer skills.
This program is student-driven, and we focus on the current material each individual is working through. This might be studying for a driving permit or citizenship test, completing course work in a continuing education program, or simply improving one's computer skills.
As a result, tutors are not expected to develop courses or study plans, and we provide necessary training.
Please share this information if you know someone who might be a strong literacy volunteer with QCRC.
Please contact the QCRC office directly.
In order to match you well with our current volunteer needs, we would like to know a bit more about you, your skills and your interests.
We request all volunteer applicants complete our application form. Don't worry about sending in a resume, but please take a few minutes to fill out our volunteer application. We offer options for doing so.
When you are ready, please let Laine LePage, our Program Coordinator, know when you might be available for a meeting. Also, feel free to contact her if you have any questions about the application form.
You can reach Laine by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling 418-681-1258.
Thank you in advance for your time & enthusiasm!
