Quebec City Reading Council envisions a community where everyone has the literacy skills they need to live a fully engaged life.
Jim Eames is the first recipient of the Tommy Hannan Volunteer of the Year Award 2014
On Wednesday April 9th the Quebec City Reading Council publicly thanked its volunteers for dedicating over 2000 volunteer hours to our community and in recognition of one of QCRC’s most dedicated tutors and Board members, established a new Annual Volunteer Award.
Recently deceased, Tommy Hannan was a volunteer, tutor and Board member of QCRC. Additionally, her commitment to literacy and the Lifelong Learning Programme was exceptional therefore, it is with immense pride that QCRC will honour this most respected volunteer by establishing an annual award in her name. We give free, private lessons in
reading, writing computer skills and math.
We have free activities in
English for parents and families.
